Hi Guys here we have a real shelf Queen. Started this one in 2007 so that makes it about 17 years in the making.
I started building this one and then during the the build i put it down for other things , cant recall what , when i went back to it the tyres had perished , so i left it again, I eventually ordered some Tyres for it towards the end of last year , received the Tyre's a couple of weeks back.

Pulled it out again and carried on , here is the results so far.

It must be noted that skills have moved on from then and i do things very differently from back then, so it looks like 2 people worked on this build

This is where we picked up Please excuse the other bike parts in the front

Then i tackled the exhausts , being in the day the Katana had what they called black chrome exhausts, I am of the opinion that these were black enamel, as they were pitch black. I found some A=stand black chrome and thought that i would give it a go, its a bit light by itself but on the bike it just pops and actually looks quite awesome. It is sprayed over a glossish black ( it could have been Shinier ) but so we learn.

Here is a pic of the clocks , this decal survived as it was applied back in 2007, all i did here was apply some UV cure jell, It made quite a difference

The 2 images are where I am now , its almost there , need to polish the 2 side covers . I am waiting for some decals from a fellow modeler as the kit decals are trashed. when i receive these i will past another Update

GraemeB Nice a big scale motorcycle in this corner of the forum. Looks good what you've done so far. But a (real) Kantana brrrr some people find it beautiful and others terribly ugly and I belong to the latter group  Hope there will be an update soon.
