@Erwin , yes the gold does look good but it was a phase that Yamaha went through in the early 80’s where they used a lot of gold as trim on their bikes , ones that come to mind were the Virago , XS1100, Eleven Sport and the Midnight special to list but a few ,really liked the Midnight special , this bike is now highly collectible.

Hello Chaps, well not the best Photos but se is done , i will take some better pics when the sun is shining again , have some rain scheduled for this week, this was a quite a nice build , no real issues , fit was also good , i just replaced all the pipes with some thinner wire that looks much better. also dropped ther pin striping and the yellow/ gold trim.

The next one will be better.
